The Saudi Journalists Club in UK (SJCUK) hosted a special evening at School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS) tonignt, with author Robert Lacey as a guest speaker. Lacey is the auther of Majesty, The Kingdom and more recently Inside The Kingdom.
He is certainly among my favourite authors, I find his writing impeccable! Lacey gave a brief talk about the past and present of Saudi Arabia stating key facts and historical events; he also took questions from the crowd which was mainly composed of Saudi students in the UK.
Current President of SJCUK, Abdullah Maghlooth was present and awarded Lacey with a certificate of appreciationp; among the attendees as were Saudi twitter sensation Fouad Al-Farhan and columnist Issam Al-Zamil.
